Portsmouth and Winchester Diocesan Academies Trust

Safeguarding

The Portsmouth and Winchester Diocesan Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.

The Trust has a nominated Safeguarding Director, who is Will Hughes and the CEO acts as a central Designated Safeguarding Lead. Each academy has it's own Designated Safeguarding Lead and at least one Deputy.

The Prevent Duty

The Trust has developed a 'Prevent Package' for its academies. For subscribing academies, this can be found on the Resources page of this website: http://www.pwdat.org/topic/resources. Alternatively, please contact the Chief Executive Officer for further details. Related policies can be found on the Policy page of this website.
